FMLA

Published February 23, 2012 by Matt Fendon Law Group

Employment Law Tip of the Day – Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) – this is a Federal regulation that allows certain employees up to 3 months of unpaid leave. During the leave, the employee’s health insurance benefits are to be kept in effect. Also, the employee should be reinstated to their former job, and rate of pay if possible. Violations of FMLA allow for attorney’s fees, and damages under the statute. Please let us know if we can assist you with FMLA violations or worker’s comp or SS Disability cases.
